Our mission at Penda Learning, a Learning 2020 company, is to support educators. We know that now, more than ever, educators are working hard to continue to provide their students with learning opportunities as schools close due to the coronavirus. We are here to help.
If you’re currently a Penda Science subscriber, you now have online access to all grade level science content, grades 4-10, at no additional cost through the end of the school year.
If you’re not a subscriber, the Penda Science online platform is available to any Florida district or school for the remainder of this school year. There will be a small fee to cover the costs associated with onboarding (curriculum mapping, setup of student accounts).
Here are the details:
If your district or school currently subscribes to Penda Science, you now have online access to all grade level content, regardless of which grades your subscription includes, through the end of the 2019-20 school year. Students in grades 4 - biology can access Penda Science from home using any device. Teachers will be able to assign students Penda activities, and monitor student progress via Penda's reporting suite, even though they and their students may not be in the classroom. This upgrade to your subscription is happening automatically. To onboard additional grades/courses not currently utilizing Penda Science, please reach out to Penda Support (Support@PendaLearning.com).
We are also here to support Florida districts and schools that are not Penda Science subscribers by providing access to the Penda Science online platform through the end of the school year. As you develop your distance learning plans, Penda is an especially great resource because our FL NGSSS standards-based science activities are custom aligned to your district scope and sequence/curriculum guides and auto-assigned weekly to students without teachers having to do anything. Our online platform is game-based and designed to keep students highly engaged and self-motivated, which is essential when students are learning at home without the structure and support of the classroom. Additionally, our detailed, in-depth reporting will keep teachers informed about students’ progress so they can provide interventions as needed to students.
